RENNSPORT (RENNSPORT) setups

Developer: Competition CompanyCircuitReleasedNo file import/export

Learn how to dial in your car in RENNSPORT: what every setup parameter does, what changes when you raise or lower it, and where RENNSPORT stores its setups. All reconstructed 1:1 against the real in-game editor, so you stop copying setups you don't understand.

Free to start: you only need an account, no card.

Files

Where setups are stored

No verified in-game file-based setup import/export system was found for RENNSPORT (unlike ACC/iRacing/rFactor2 in this catalogue). The game lets you save named setups inside the garage, but the research behind this PR did not confirm an on-disk file location or exportable format.

Glossary

What each parameter does

The 2 settings you can tune in RENNSPORT, with what each one does and the effect of raising or lowering it.

Ranges flagged as estimated are inferred from the car's physics when the editor doesn't show the slider limit; the rest come from verified in-game captures.

  • Front tyre pressure

    Range: 1.8 – 2.9 barEstimated range

Cold front tyre pressure (bar). NOTE: RENNSPORT's own developers confirmed a known calibration mismatch — the number you see on screen (e.g. 2.50 bar) does NOT behave like a real 2.50 bar, closer to ~1.7/1.8 bar on a real car (source: rennsport.gg, Beta 1.8.3 patch notes; unconfirmed whether this has since been fixed). Treat the number as a game-relative reference, not a 1:1 physical pressure. (unit confirmed, range estimated)

    If you increase
Sharper response but less contact patch and more heat; too high and the tyre slides.
    If you decrease
More contact patch and mechanical grip, but vaguer response and risk of overheating from flex.
  • Rear tyre pressure

    Range: 1.8 – 2.9 barEstimated range

Same as front but on the rear axle: affects traction and rear stability. Same calibration caveat as the front (see above). (unit confirmed, range estimated)

    If you increase
Twitchier rear with less grip; can step out on power.
    If you decrease
More traction and rear stability, until pressure drops so low it overheats.
