Why it happens and what we're after

Unstable over kerbs: soften the bars and the slow damping (compression and rebound) and raise ride height so the car absorbs the kerb instead of jumping. (AC EVO doesn't expose fast damper channels.)

What to change, exactly

Ranges, steps and defaults are the REAL ones for this sim. The amount is expressed in the game's own unit so you can apply it without converting anything.

Parameters flagged as “estimated range” do not come from a verified in-game capture: the direction of the change is right, the exact magnitude may differ on your car.

  1. 1.Front anti-roll bar

    Lower ↓ by 11 slider stepestimated range

    Range: 0 – 15 · Default: 4

    How much the front axle resists roll. Stiffer = less roll but less relative front grip.

    Softer front = more front grip and rotation; fixes understeer.

  2. 2.Rear anti-roll bar

    Lower ↓ by 11 slider stepestimated range

    Range: 0 – 15 · Default: 5

    Rear axle roll resistance. Used together with the front to tune the car's lateral balance.

    What changes when you move it this way

    Softer rear = more traction and rear stability; fixes oversteer.

  3. 3.Front slow bump

    Lower ↓ by 22 slider stepsestimated range

    Range: 0 – 20 · Default: 6

    Front damper compression speed in slow movements: weight transfer under braking, acceleration and cornering. (AC EVO only exposes slow damping.)

    Softer = smoother weight transfer and more front grip, but the car feels lazier.

  4. 4.Rear slow bump

    Lower ↓ by 22 slider stepsestimated range

    Range: 0 – 20 · Default: 7

    Rear damper compression speed in slow movements: governs weight transfer onto the rear and exit traction.

    Softer rear = more rear traction and grip, with a slower response.

    Range: 0 – 20 · Default: 7

    Front damper extension speed after compressing. Controls how the front recovers its platform when load is released.

    Softer lets the front recover quickly; it can 'float' and lose platform control.

  6. 6.Rear slow rebound

    Range: 0 – 20 · Default: 8

    Rear damper extension speed after compressing. Controls how the rear recovers its platform when load is released; key for exit traction.

    Softer lets the rear recover quickly; it can 'float' and lose traction after bumps.

  7. 7.Front ride height

    Raise ↑ by 2 mm2 slider stepsestimated range

    Range: 40 – 100 mm · Default: 60 mm

    Front floor-to-ground distance. Lower = lower centre of gravity and more aero load/ground effect. With the rear it sets the 'rake'.

    What changes when you move it this way

    Raising gives more travel for kerbs/bumps and less bottoming, costing some aero grip.

  8. 8.Rear ride height

    Raise ↑ by 2 mm2 slider stepsestimated range

    Range: 50 – 120 mm · Default: 75 mm

    Rear ride height. It should be higher than the front (positive rake). More rake = more rotation and aero load; reducing the offset stabilises.

    What changes when you move it this way

    Raising the rear adds rake: more aero load and rotation, until it gets unstable if overdone.

How to apply it without losing your afternoon

  1. 01Change ONE thing at a time and run three clean laps before judging. Two changes at once and you no longer know which one worked.
  2. 02Start with the first parameter on the list: they are in the order the engine applies them, from the one with most authority to the fine tuning.
  3. 03If the change goes the right way but falls short, repeat the same step again before touching another parameter.
  4. 04If it gets worse, put it back. A setup you don't understand is slower than a baseline you do.

Where this sim stores its setups

AC EVO (Early Access) saves setups in-game as 'Setup Presets' (create/name/save), under Documents/ACEvo, but as of June 2026 it has no file import/export for setups: copy the values by hand into the in-game editor.
